Living with Dementia: Hospitality, Home and Relationships
A conversation with Murry Mercier, PointClickCare with a hosted reception to follow.
Murry has worked in aging services for over 20 years. Prior to joining PointClickCare in 2014, Murry served senior living communities as an administrator and guide. A third-generation industry professional and grandson to a Nursing Home Administrator, Murry often spent time in communities entertaining residents and subconsciously learning about aging services. After realizing a passion for senior living, Murry pursued technology and community operations experience, developing new models for assisted living. Today, Murry serves as the General Manager for Senior Living at PointClickCare helping thousands of communities across North America and the United Kingdom realize greater potential in business, service, and creating home for seniors in need. He achieved his bachelor of science in management of information systems from University of North Carolina at Wilmington and master’s in business administration from University of Phoenix; he is a certified Colorado Assisted Living Administrator, Eden Educator, Dementia Beyond Drugs instructor, and experienced consultant to communities dedicated to culture transformation. Murry is a former collegiate Division I swimmer and currently resides in Denver, Colorado, where he served two terms as a Board Member to the Colorado Culture Change Coalition, plays in the Americana rock band Strange Americans, and enjoys snowboarding and the outdoors with his wife Ashley and dog, Sonny.
